Attorneys-at-Law

Thank you for your interest and for your referral business. We sincerely hope that you recognize the importance of our services to the criminal justice system AND the 8th Amendment protection that we afford YOUR clients. We are just as concerned as you that criminal defendants receive good counsel and fair treatment as their cases work their way through the criminal courts. Do not make the mistake of thinking that defendant funds spent on a bail bond equates to a lack of funds for your services. A defendant out of custody on bail is able to return to earning his or her living, affording legal bills, and can enjoy the freedom to cooperate with you in the location of witnesses and exculpatory evidence.

Understand How We Work

A bail agent exists to serve TWO parties. We serve a defendant by providing a bail service which might otherwise be out of reach for a defendant's family or friends. We also serve the community as a whole by voluntarily accepting the burden of monitoring and producing defendants before the courts. While we work very hard with clients to provide bond, there are some risks that we simply WILL NOT underwrite. You must understand that a bail agent is financially responsible for the full penal sum of the bond should a defendant abscond. Contrary to what you may believe, bondsmen are NOT insured for this type of loss. Surety bonds, unlike standard insurance products, assume no expected level of loss. A large bond forfeiture can easily force a bail agent into insolvency. Therefore we earnestly solicit your understanding and your cooperation when reviewing a defendant's application for bail.
